Wanting a guilt-free “Ice Cream” treat? This simple frozen dessert is a sure bet.
Are you aware that regular commercial ice cream is full of additives, chemicals, and modified ingredients. The calories and ‘fats’ that are often associated with ice cream are the least of your concerns when it comes to its health value.

It is LOADED with scary things… look how much sugar is in there and ingredients you probably have no idea what they actually are! How can you feel good about putting this into your body, or giving this to your kids as a ‘treat’. This is not a treat to be enjoyed, but a step toward a serious health condition.
But don’t cry in your empty bowl just yet. Yours truly is a dessert and ice cream lover so of course I’m not going to leave you without something absolutely delicious that will tempt you to lick the bowl:
This recipe can be adapted to your favourite fruity flavour. Just change out the berries for your fruit of choice. You can even add a few drops of pure Vanilla for even more flavour!
I always have 2-3 frozen bananas (not over ripe) hidden away in the freezer for a treat just like this.
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1-2 Tbsp coconut milk (or water)
Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.
Start with a small amount of liquid and add only what is necessary to desired consistency.
Divide into 2 bowls and place in freezer until ready to serve.
(if in freezer for more than 1 1/2 hours, you may need to take out early to defrost before serving)
Garnish with chopped frozen fruit.
