Most people love to snack, especially in the evenings and especially while watching a movie or tv.
Except once that big bowl of popcorn is finished, remorse of eating something ‘buttery-fattening’ sets in.
No need to feel guilty with these 3 Healthy Popcorn Recipes:
1. Classic:
- 1/2 C Organic Popcorn
- 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
- 1 tbsp Grapeseed Oil
- Few grinds of Sea Salt
Pop the corn in a hot air popper.
Lightly heat the oils in a pan on the stove until just melted. Do not overheat.
Drizzle over popcorn and add sea salt to taste.
2. ‘Cheesy’ (without the Cheese) Popcorn:
- 1/2 C Organic Popcorn
- 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
- 1 tbsp Grapeseed Oil
- 1 tbsp Nutritional Yeast flakes (or to taste)
- Few grinds of Sea Salt
Pop the corn in a hot air popper.

Drizzle over popcorn and add the nutritional yeast and sea salt to taste.
3. Sweet & Salty Kettle Corn
- 1/2 C Organic Popcorn
- 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
- 1 tbsp Grapeseed Oil
- 1 tbsp Coconut Palm Sugar
- Few grinds of Sea Salt
Pop the corn in a hot air popper.
Lightly heat the oils in a pan on the stove until just melted. Do not overheat.
Drizzle over popcorn and sprinkle on the Coconut Palm Sugar and sea salt to taste.
Healthy Notes:
- Only use ORGANIC popcorn. Corn is one of the most common Genetically Modified crop in North America, and the organic variety will not be GMed.
- Do not substitute Coconut Palm Sugar with Brown Sugar. Brown sugar is merely white sugar with added corn syrup. A double dose of toxins.
- Coconut Palm Sugar, while still a sugar, is much much lower on the Glycemic Index and therefore does not spike and drop the blood sugar levels of the body as much as regular sugar. It is more ideal for Diabetics. As with anything, moderation of use is important.
- Coconut Oil and Coconut Palm Sugar are usually found in most health food stores. While it is higher in price, the health value is there and makes both products worth the money.
