Add Excitement to your Water!

You’ve heard it all before:
“You should be drinking at least 8-10 cups of water a day”
“Water nourishes the body”
“Our bodies are made up of 55% water”
…. yada yada yada….

I KNOW you know the importance of water, that it is vital to our survival. You’re smart. You know how much you should be drinking, so I ask you this: Why aren’t you drinking enough? Is it because you don’t like the taste of plain, boring water?
Drinking juice, sports drinks and ‘mineral flavor drinks’ is something you should be cautioned on. They are high in processed sugars and instead of nourishing the body, can actually be depleting it.

Here are some healthy ways to add more flavor and fun to your water:

1. Lemon Water

WaterLemon

By far the most popular addition to water.
Balances the acidity / PH levels in the body.

2. Lime Water

A slight twist on the old lemon favourite.
For a twist on the twist, combine both lemon & lime slices.

3. Raspberry Water

WaterRaspberry

A glass full of fruity flavour without the harmful added sugars.
Add frozen berries in place of ice cubes.
Swap out the raspberries for your favourite berry.

4. Lemon Raspberry Water

Kick it up a notch by adding lemon slices with the raspberry.
My personal favourite.

5. Cucumber Water

Can you say refreshing?
The perfect addition with just a hint of flavour.

6. Mint Water

WaterBasil

There is nothing better than a few mint leaves, fresh from the garden, floating in your glass.
Freeze them in ice cubes for an entertainment bonus.

7. Basil Water

WaterMint

For the water adventurer. This surprising flavour of this herb is a nice change from the other traditional ingredients.
Scrunch up or pinch the leaves before adding to the water for an extra burst of flavour.

8. Ginger Water

Adds a little ‘zing’.
Combine it with any of the above options for yet another twist.
A good digestive aid. Helps with nausea and morning sickness.
Other health properties include: Reduces inflammation and boosts the immune system.
